The series will be released in two Bluray boxes: The first -The Clow Card- with 46 episodes, and the second bluray box -Sakura Card- with 24 episodes. The first Bluray Box sets will be released on March 27th 2009, and will be on sale until March 2010.  While the second box will be released June 26th 2009 and will also be released as a limited time release.

The Card Captor Sakura Bluray box will be one of the very first anime series to come in Bluray box sets in the Japanese market.  According to the publisher, The series has been remastered from a new master newer than the one used for 2005’s DVD Box series.  While the specifications mention that the aspect ratio will be in wide screen 16:9, Commercials of the Bluray Box shows it in 4:3. It’s unclear if the series will be released in 16:9, as It was originally produced as a 4:3.

This news confirms the 2ch rumours that was mentioned last year.

Production I.G’s Anime Romance OVA “Tokyo Marble Chocolate” is planned to be released on Bluray in HD on September 28 in Japan.

The OVA was recently released on DVD in Japan on December 2007.

The Bluray release (Product No. BVXH-11018)  will be sold for 5,460 Yen.
