日本語 Recently Mediaset launched “Licensing & Merchandisng” web site, It inlcudes Programs and Products available for licensing through Mediaset.
Something took my attetion, the top-hit Anime series is included in the list!
The list also includes: Mermaid Melody Pitchi Pitchi Pitch, Detective Conan, Mirmo, Doraemon (the new series), Lupin the 3rd and Lady Oscar.
Naruto was confirmed to be licensed by Mediaset in a online press release from Panini:
NARUTO ALL SET TO BECOME THE LATEST JAPANESE BLOCKBUSTER TO HIT EUROPE
The Panini Group is delighted to be able to announce that contracts have been exchanged appointing Panini as the exclusive representative of the all important NARUTO franchise for six European territories. Italy, Spain, Portugal, Germany, Austria and Switzerland form the territory which Panini will represent as licensing agents for TV rights (excluding Italy – which is already sold to Mediaset) all home video and DVD as well as most merchandise and promotional categories.

Mediaset is trying to profit after the end of IT! Italian Teen Television, one of Mediaset Pay Per view channel which was shutted down very soon after it launch. IT! aired several Anime series, even in the Original Japanese dub, but it seems was not a great succes.
